The archives would like to express their frustration with the haphazard formatting in each bill which slows our work down. To solve this, we request that all of you follow the below Style Guide in your google docs

  1. Though I have not seen any .docx files uploaded, please use a google doc since downloading each of them slows things down
  2. All text except the title must be left aligned. The title must be center aligned
  3. Text should be in Times New Roman (If you cant use this one, you can find it in ttf-liberation) size 12 with a line spacing of 1.5
    1. (Standard for formal documents)
  4. If there is a paragraph under the title for background on the law, create a heading known as 'Preamble:'
  5. All articles must be named in the following manner "Article {number}" and you may append ": {note}" optionally
  6. Lists should be formatted in the following format

§1.

 §1.1.

...

7. If a list is meant to be used to represent a bullet point structure

§1. .... the following,

 §1.1. ....,
 §1.2. ...,
 §1.3. ...... . (end of clause)

8. Amendments should use `Section` in place of `Article`. They should follow the following format

Section 1: .....
§1. .... will be amended to read the following
(text at ~0.7 indent, use the ruler)
........
(End block)

You may use the reformatted version of The Senate Rules and Procedures Act

Please follow the above.
