Date of judgment 2nd November 2020

Charges 1 charge of Treason (Article 55 of the Criminal Code)

Applicable persuasive precedent The burden of proof to prove evidence being altered or tampered with is on the defense 1

JUDGMENT by Judge CreatingKing

[1]. The question of the validity of the evidence was brought up many times. As the burden of proof is on the Prosecution to prove the crime was committed, so is the burden of proof on the defense to prove the evidence was altered. The defense argued only that the evidence may have been altered, not that it was definitely altered. The defense did not meet the burden of proof and thus the evidence stands.

I will now deliver my verdict of the case in a few minutes

[2]. Now the question is. Did Flaming commit treason beyond a reasonable doubt. I find there to be sufficient evidence that the defendant did indeed aid in efforts to undermine our political processes. As he engaged in these activities they do indeed fall under the purview of treason. Therefore the defendant is found guilty of treason against SimDemocracy. However, as they seem to have had a minor role in the conspiracy, I sentence the defendant to a ban of Four months. (They haven’t been on in forever anyways).
