Art Gallery Act 2025

Passed on the 26th of February 2025

Preamble:

This Act shall bring new economic opportunities into SimDem by providing citizens with a new way to use their Tau. This will help increase the circulation of Tau across SimDem as a whole and help give Tau a higher value.

Article 1: Creation

§1. A new category of channels called “Department of Expansion” shall be created.

§2. A new channel called “The Art Gallery” shall be created under the newly established “Department of Expansion” category.

§3. The Art Gallery channel shall be a read-only channel where only individuals with any of the following roles may send messages:

§3.1. “Secretary of Expansion”,

§3.2. “Deputy Secretary of Expansion”

§3.3. “President”,

§3.4. “Supervisor”.

Article 2: Operation

§1. The Art Gallery shall be operated by the Department of Expansion and led by the Secretary of Expansion.

Article 3: The Submitting of Artwork

§1. A citizen who wishes to publish a piece of art must send the artwork to the Secretary of Expansion. §1. If the artwork meets the guidelines outlined in Article 4, §1, then the citizen must transfer 150 Tau to the Department of Expansion’s account before it is published.

§2. Once the payment has been confirmed, the Secretary of Expansion shall have 48 hours to post the artwork in The Art Gallery channel.

Article 4: Restrictions

§1. Any artwork that meets one of the following criteria shall not be posted in The Art Gallery:

§1.1. Any artwork considered NSFW,

§1.2. Any artwork that is AI-generated.

Article 5: The Transfer of Money from the Department of Expansion to the Department of the Treasury

§1. At least once per week following the passage of this Act, the Department of Expansion must transfer all revenue generated from The Art Gallery to the Department of the Treasury.

Article 6: Implementation and Oversight

§1. This Act shall take effect on the first Saturday after its passage.
