Don’t Collect My Data Act 2025
Article 1: Data collection
§1 No form, questionnaire or survey that specifically targets SimDem users and is advertised in any of the official SimDem premises shall collect user emails , with the exception of google itself.
- §1.1 If the email is considered to be essential to the form, questionnaire or survey, then it must represent a question of its own, with a reasonable explanation on why it is necessary, in which case it will be allowed.
- §1.2 "Essential" includes situations where the email is necessary for one or more of the following: (1) communication with the individual (2) delivering services, products, or information as requested (3) fulfilling legal or contractual obligations.
- §1.3 The results of a public form, questionnaire or survey shall not be available strictly through email, and collection of emails shall not be used to remove anonymity.
- §1.4 The Citizenship Form musn’t collect user emails.
§2 Any user found in violation of this article is subject to a fine of 25 tau.
- § 2.1 If the same user is found in violation of this article twice within a 30 day period, he shall be subject to a fine equal to the same amount he was fined last time he violated this article and an additional 150 tau.
Article 2: Implementation
§ 1 This act shall replace the “Don’t Collect My Data Act 2024”.
§ 2 After this act passes, there shall be a 30-day grace period where first time offenders are excused.
