EO 136 - 12 Defining the Chief of Staff

Whereas the Chief of Staff holds no real authority and similarly, not much of a purpose.
Whereas the Chief of Staff is not much of an asset to the President or Executive Branch.
1. A new role titled “Chief Of Staff” will be created right below the “Vice President” role.
2. The Chief of Staff role will be given permissions to see channels necessary to its work, including all Executive Department channels to report on their affairs.
3. The Chief of Staff will be confirmed by the Senate of SimDemocracy, considered a cabinet-level position.
4. The Chief of Staff may give directives to cabinet members, but directives given by the President shall always hold precedent.
5. In cabinet affairs, the Vice President may also give directives to the cabinet that hold precedent over those given by the Chief of Staff.
6. The Chief of Staff may not make decisions in the place of Executive Departments unless expressly permitted by the President or the Head of said Executive Department.
7. The Chief of Staff is to send a written report to the President on the affairs of each Executive Department twice each Presidential term.

9. The report written by the Chief of Staff will consist of:
- A day-to-day operations summary of Executive Departments.
- Inefficiencies needing to be addressed.
- Employees that are inactive or otherwise unnecessary.
- Any other details the Chief of Staff deems necessary to include in said report.
10. Section 2 of EO 133 - 01 is repealed.
