Whereas national holidays can unite the users of SimDemocracy and promote a national identity for SimDemocracy,
Whereas national holidays can be interesting events for users,
Article 1: Creation Day
§1. Creation Day shall be every 12th of February, celebrating the creation of r/Simdemocracy which occurred during the 12th of February 2019.
§2. Creation Day shall be a celebration of SimDemocracys’ unique and interesting history, a time to reflect about how much SimDemocracy has managed since its creation.
§3. The government of SimDemocracy is encouraged to celebrate Creation Day with community events and ceremonies.
§4. During Creation Day, the icon for the official SimDemocracy discord server may be altered to include a party hat, or similar alterations that are consistent with the theme.
Article 2: Revolution Day
§1. Revolution Day shall be every 11th of April, celebrating SimDemocracys’ rebellion against the tyrant supervisor Jackie that started April 11th 2019.
§2. Revolution Day is a day to celebrate the value of democracy and to act as a warning that democracy requires the people to constantly battle for and defend it.
Article 3: Freedom Day
§1. Freedom Day shall be every 8th of May, celebrating the day the users of SimDemocracy regained control of r/Simdemocracy from the tyrant Jackie.
§2. Freedom Day is a day to celebrate the value of freedom and SimDemocracys’ victory against tyranny.
Article 4: Constitution Day
§1. Constitution Day shall be every 29th of August, celebrating the day that the Written Constitution Amendment compiled the various constitutional amendments of SimDemocracy into a complete document.
§2. Constitution Day is a day to celebrate the concept of constitutional democracy, that the constitution exists as a representation of the people's values and how it over the years has adapted to those values.
Article 5: SimDemocracy LGBT Pride Day
§1. SimDemocracy LGBT Pride Day shall be every June 1st, celebrating the contributions of LGBT SimDemocracy users and dedicating SimDemocracy to a defence of the rights of LGBT people both within SimDemocracy and around the world.
§2. Starting LGBT Pride Day until the end of June the SimDemocracy discord logo is to be the Pride Logo of SimDemocracy.
§3.The government of SimDemocracy is encouraged to celebrate SimDemocracy LGBT Pride Day with community events and ceremonies, including a ceremony for the changing of the logo to the pride logo.
§4.The changing of the logo back to the regular logo at the end of June may also be a ceremony to reflect on the month of pride and SimDemocracy LGBT Pride Day.
Article 6: Pumpkin Day
§1. Pumpkin Day shall be every 7th of October, recognising the importance of pumpkins in popular culture, agriculture, and cuisine.
§2. Every Pumpkin Day citizens are encouraged to share their favorite pumpkin recipes, crafts, and stories on this day, on Pumpkin Day, a post or document highlighting the history, significance, and benefits of pumpkins will be shared with the community and random pumpkin-related fun facts shall be shared throughout the month leading up to Pumpkin Day.
Article 7: Labour Day
§1. Labour Day shall be every 1st of May, celebrating the contributions of those that work to maintain and ensure that SimDemocracy functions and that SimDemocracy is able to be the nation it is.
§2. Labour Day is a day to recognise that SimDemocracy has been built through much work and effort, with many users dedicating much of their time to SimDemocracy to ensure that it can continue to prosper.
