Protectorate Act 2024

Article 1: Establishment of the Protectorate

§1. The sovereign territory of the SimDemocracy shall be expanded to include the newly established protectorate, henceforth known as the SimDem International Protectorate.

§2. The SimDem International Protectorate shall encompass the territory of Coalition and States game discord server and any other territory claimed by the protectorate.

Article 2: Governance and Authority

§1. The SimDem International Protectorate shall be governed in accordance with the Constitution, laws, and regulations of the SimDemocracy.

§2. The SimDemocracy Legislature shall have the authority to enact laws specifically pertaining to the governance of the SimDem International Protectorate, insofar as such laws do not conflict with the SimDemocracy Constitution.

§3. The SimDemocracy Judiciary shall have jurisdiction over legal matters arising within the SimDem International Protectorate.

Article 3: Protector

§1. The SimDemocracy President shall appoint a Protector to serve as the chief executive of the SimDem International Protectorate.

§2. The Protector shall be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration of the SimDem International Protectorate and ensuring its compliance with SimDemocracy law.

§3. The Protector shall serve at the pleasure of the SimDemocracy President and may be removed from office by the President at any time.

§4. If the population of the SimDem International Protectorate reaches over 5 members, the Protectorate shall have the right to democratically elect its own Governor, who shall assume the duties of the Protector. The election process shall be established by the protector and approved by a simple majority in the senate.

Article 4: Enactment

§1. This Act shall take effect immediately upon its passage by the SimDemocracy Legislature and its signing into law by the SimDemocracy President.
