JUDGMENT by Judge TheMainCharacter

[1]. The court established that the defendant reminded people to wish NovaSM a happy birthday in #official-announcements. The court finds there was no legitimate intention to announce NovaSM's birthday since the date being more than a month away is not reflected in the message.

[2]. The Fifth Discord Act specifies an official announcements channel that the Prime Minister is able to speak in. The court interprets the relevant statute (Art 1 §1.1. of the Fifth Discord Act) to create a restriction that the channel be used only for announcements that are related to the government or otherwise important to the community, given that the Act also establishes other channels for general purpose use.

[3]. The court finds that misuse of the channel devalues it, since the average person looking at it to see important announcements would not be able to do so. The court sees this as a form of social harm.

[4]. The court affirms that the unrelated actions of other individuals may not be used to implicate the defendant in the crime and the defendant's message must be considered in isolation. Due to its short size, the court finds that the social harm created is minimal.

[5]. The court finds the defendant guilty of one charge of Misuse of Permissions. The defendant shall be fined 500 tau.
