Senate Channels Amendment
Article 1
§1. A new clause shall be added to Article 6 of the Senate Rules and Procedures Act:
§6. Excluding any specifications within legislation, the Speaker of the Senate may edit channels with the Senate category in any way they choose including but not limited to changing channel names, changing channel permissions, adding new channels, and changing channel order.
§2. A new sub clause shall be added to Article 1 Clause 2 of the Senate Rules and Procedures Act:
§2.5. Motions to archive a channel at the request of the Chief Archivist.
§3. Article 3 of the Supervisors and Moderators Act 2023 shall be stricken and replaced with:
§1. Only the Discord Supervisor or their assistants may archive a channel at the command of an Executive Order or legislation.
§1.1 For channels within the Senate Category, they may be archived at the request of The Speaker of the Senate unless their existence is mandated by legislation.
§1.2. For any government-owned channels, they may be archived by a majority vote in the senate.
§1.3. For channels within the Judicial or Courts categories, they may be archived at the request of the Supreme Court unless their existence is mandated by legislation.
§1.4. For any privately owned channel, they may be archived at the request of the owner.
