The It’s Not Transparency Unless It’s Hand-Delivered Act

Preamble

Whereas: The Senate Records Act is not enough transparency for some people.

Article 1: Setup

§1. A #law-change-announcements channel shall be created within the SimDemocracy Discord under the Infos category.

§2. A @Law Change Ping role shall be created within the SimDemocracy Discord.

§2.1. Users within the Discord shall be able to self-assign and self-unassign this role at will.

Article 2: Execution

§1. The Speaker of the Senate shall be responsible for announcing every change in legislation that has passed the Senate.

§1.1. This duty may be assumed by any individual given the authority of the Speaker as directed by the Constitution or other applicable legislation.

§2. Changes in legislation must be announced within 24 hours.

§3. Each announcement message shall be made within the #law-change-announcements channel.

§4. Each announcement message shall ping the @Law Change Ping role.

Article 3: Adaptation

§1. In the event that an element of the Discord referenced by this act ceases to exist, including but not limited to a channel category, the closest available equivalent shall be substituted.
